Being pretty new to fish keeping, I visited Sierra several times over the past month with nothing but questions about tank cycling, fish compatibility, substrate, water chemistry…you name it. I found the staff incredibly helpful and patient in answering all of my questions. Everyone I spoke with was great but Alyssa was especially knowledgeable in helping me choose the right fish for my tank setup. No, you won’t find perfectly stocked and squared-off products on the shelves or polished floors. But it’s the slightly disorderly charm of the store that makes this place great. This is the sort of ma and pa shop full of experts and animal lovers that you are glad exists so you aren’t forced to shop solely at the Petcos of the world. Their selection of fish, plants, decorations and equipment FAR outweighs the box stores anyway. Do yourself a favor and stop by.

Likely the best pet store overall in the Seattle area. they don't have everything, but they have a little bit of everything. there's always plenty of staff that are helpful and friendly. what's important to me is all of the pets that they do carry are always in great condition. And healthy.

If you get into aquariums I would suggest coming here. I went to about 6 pet stores along the 405, from family owned to main brand retail and this place had the best selection in my opinion. I judge a pet store by the smell and this store passes that test. All good pet stores have that distinct smell. If a pet store doesn’t smell like pets just walk out immediately :) all jokes aside this place has a very cool vibe to it. If anything come check out the fish and buy your dog or cat a treat.

This had been the best store for finding everything that I have been wanting to set up my tank. They also had a great selection for taking care of your birds and small mammals. One of the things that I appreciated the most about this store was that it was kept very clean and organized.

I found this by accident and feel like I been really missing out they have a huge selection of fish, altho most are guppies and Molly's and that sort of thing. They do have one wall of cichlids but I feel like the selection wasn't that great on the cichlid front mostly African, not to much south American. Still a really cool store tho, ghost shirmos for only 75 events a piece! I will definitely be back.

Cute pet store right in the Uwajimaya parking lot. Lady at the front was super friendly and let us browse around in peace. They have a moderate selection of Saltwater equipment, corals and saltwater fish are under construction it seems. Lots of tanks on display with info about them too. Lots of tanks and tank supplies they even had an AI Prime Reef and Red Sea lights in the case for sale. They carried lots of API and Red Sea test, no Salifert or Hanna reagent here. Lots of other (non fish) pet stuff for sale too. They sell some beautiful purple caribsea rock too but it’s $12.99/lb so a bit steep. I saw one bag of red crystals but don’t recall seeing other salt. Overall will definitely come back to stock up on supplies

Staff has always been nice, and I've gotten a couple of my aquariums here and a lot of my fish/shrimp. My first batch of plants I got here didn't do so well, but I came back a different day and got more that looked way healthier and they've been great ever since. This is not a Petco/PetSmart. Yes it can be a bit dirty but that's never bothered me because the people and prices create an environment I love to shop in!

The staff in aquatics are super helpful and friendly. They have mainly fresh water fish with a small selection of corals and occasionally macroalgae too.

This place is the best for all your animal needs. The staff was beyond helpful and quite knowledgable - my family and I were new fish to being fish parents. I came to this store a half a dozen times to get info and plan out my nephews first fish tank. ALYSSA IS THE BEST! she literally held my hand walked me through all my options and how to best take care of our Cory Catfish. I got set up with all the goods, tank, sand, filter. She took so much time explaining everything to me. She even played along with our lies about Santa to really make our christmas so special giving my nephew catfish, his only christmas wish. I cant thank this store enough, everything went so smooth for how complicated it was. I will never go to another pet store. Really felt welcomed and encouraged to ask questions. Alyssa was beyond awesome... but even the other staff was eager to help me. Seriously go here!!! So many kinds of fish!!!! Now we want shrimp and little glass suckers and guppies! I guess we are fish people now???

I picked up a hillstream sucker, and the employee who helped us was so wonderful! There was one in particular with a small white spot on him that I adored and was super lively. The man spent, I kid you not, like 5-10 minutes getting this fish for us. Excellent customer service, and the lady who runs the front desk is wonderful help. She helped me before with getting a heater. I wish I lived closer so I could come more often.
